a. Can Dymo print barcodes?
Yes, Dymo LabelWriter printers and label makers can print barcodes using the Dymo Label Software (DLS). The DLS is part of the package when purchasing a brand new printer and can also be downloaded from Dymo. To use the software:
- Select your label size and then drag a barcode onto it.
- Double-click the barcode to open its properties and then configure its settings to your preference.
- Choose from various sizes and other options that allow barcode texts to appear above or below, and more.
b. Why is my Dymo not working?
So your Dymo LabelWriter can work with your PC, please make sure that you have installed the appropriate printer driver. Connect your Dymo Printer to your PC, and Windows will automatically launch the printer driver installation window. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.
If you have already installed the Dymo LabelWritier printer, but it’s still not working, you may need to troubleshoot it. Start by unplugging the US cable from the Dymo printer. Next, launch the Windows Start Menu and then go to Devices and Printers > Printers / Printers and Faxes. Find and right-click your Dymo Printer icon and then click Remove Device or Delete. Click on Yes or Ok, and Windows will start deleting the driver.
Reconnect the USB cable into your Dymo Printer, and an installation Window will automatically popup on your screen. Follow the on-screen instructions so your PC can start the reinstallation of the printer driver. After completing the printer driver installation process, your Dymo compatibles labels will become available once you open Windows.
c. How do you reset a Dymo Labelwriter?
Kindly turn on your Dymo LabelWriter and wait for about half a minute for it to fully start. Using a pointed non-metallic item, long-press the RESET button at the back of the printer for 5 seconds. Release the RESET button, and your Dymo LabelWriter will start resetting back to factory default settings
